The Parbhani chapter of ISA started in 1996 in the Department of Agronomy so as to strengthen education and research and to develop linkage at national level. About 20 staffs in research, teaching and extension are life member of ISA. Most of the staff of Agronomy and PG students are annual member of ISA. Parbhani chapter of ISA organized one state level seminar on “Sustainable crop production in vertisols” during 7-8 February,1998. This chapter has initiated to award Gold medal for outstanding PG student in this department. The chapter has regularly scrutinized research articles published in Indian Journal of Agronomy. In addition to this, chapter is conducting activities like seminar, felicitations. Some of the member of ISA participated and presented paper in International Symposium /Workshop etc.

Recently re-initiated GOLD MEDAL for the student securing highest CGPA in M.Sc (Agri.) from year 2017 by Parbhani Chapter ISA and SOA.

Asewar Dr. D.N.Gokhale, awarded with Fellow award of Indian Society of Agronomy, New Delhi in International Agronomy Congress (Fifth) on ‘Agri innovations to combat food and nutrition challanges’ organized by The Indian Society of Agronomy, New Delhi and PJTSAU, Hyderabad at Hyderabad, India during Nov. 23-27, 2021.

  • Dr. G.D. Gadade, Extension Agronomist received “Best Poster Presentation Award” in Fifth International Agronomy Congress held at PJTSAU, Hyderabad during 23-27 Nov. 2021.
